Amy is the younger of the Barnes' children. She lives with her parents, Kathy and Mike and older sister, Sarah. She has just turned 15 and is still at school.
She is best friends with Michaela but her parents have banned them from seeing each other because Michaela is a bad influence on Amy. She practically forced Amy to sleep with Ste and Amy is often sneaking out to get drunk with Michaela. She then slept with another boy on her 15th birthday and soon after she discovered she was pregnant.
She doesn't want the baby but couldn't go through with an abortion. The only people who knew about it were Michaela and Suzanne because she couldn't bring herself to tell her parents.

Amy gives birth in the kitchen in front of her stunned family. She insists she doesn't want the baby and Kathy decides to tell everyone it is her baby. But will Amy change her mind?
