Gilly is Rhys's best mate. Like the Ashworth's he is originally from Manchester but when they moved to Hollyoaks he decided to move in with them.
Gilly works for Mr Ashworth at the shop but spends most of his time in the SU Bar or The Dog. He isn't very good with girls. He fell in love with Jessica and did everything he could to impress her and eventually she did start to like him too but she was with Mark at the same time and couldn't choose between them so chose neither. Gilly was heartbroken but then started to like Sarah. They went on a couple of dates but that didn't work out either after he blurted out about Rhys and Sarah's mum in front of a room full of people.
