Mel was the daughter of Liz. She had a twin sister, Sophie and a younger brother, Justin. Their dad committed suicide a few years ago.
Their mum moved away but none of them went with her. Mel and Sophie were living in the house until the Valentine's bought it and they then moved in with Louise.
Mel was an alcoholic but she had sorted herself out and was starting to rebuild her life.
She was seeing O.B and they were both convinced Clare was conning Max and then they got it on DVD when she slept with Warren. Unfortunately she took the DVD to The Dog the night that Sam blew it up and she got killed.
